One of my favorite things about southern Utah is how the landscape invites you to imagine the world in an entirely different time. Long before the red rock cliffs and canyons we know today, much of this region was covered by vast sand dunes that shifted with the wind. Over millions of years, those ancient sands became stone, and the elements have been shaping and reshaping them ever since.

And the colors! All those beautiful shades of rust, orange, and cream are little expressions of the minerals within the earth, with iron playing a particularly lovely role in giving the sandstone its signature reds.

Inspired by this ancient, ever-changing landscape, the Sandstone earrings bring together warm orange, rust, and ivory, with little touches of gold. A petite weaving in celebration of the Earth and the incredible stories written into its layers.

Part of the Utah Desert collection, lovingly created in Torrey, Utah, on the ancestral homelands of the Southern Paiute people.

Hand-woven with high-quality Miyuki glass beads, natural thread, and 18K gold-plated sterling silver (925) kidney-style earwires. Only the good stuff. :)

25% of proceeds from this pair are donated to the Koosharem Band of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah and Utah Diné Bikéyah, in the spirit of reciprocity and care for the land and its people.
