Red Earth Earrings

$80.00

Inspired by the red earth of southern Utah, where sandstone glows in shades of rust and orange, and the weathered bark of juniper and pinyon trees tells its own story of life in the high desert.

The earthy, textured fringe of these weavings was inspired by the bark of those trees, while the soft cream beads carry memories of snow on the landscape and the sun-bleached animal bones I came across while wandering the land, playing my Koshi chimes, and simply spending time in relationship with this beautiful place.

Part of the Utah Desert collection, lovingly created in Torrey, Utah, on the ancestral homelands of the Southern Paiute people.

Hand-woven with high-quality Miyuki glass beads, natural thread, and 18K gold-plated sterling silver (925) kidney-style earwires. Only the good stuff. :)

25% of proceeds from this pair are donated to the Koosharem Band of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah and Utah Diné Bikéyah, in the spirit of reciprocity and care for the land and its people.
