Ancestral Currents Earrings

$120.00

The water flowing through our bodies today has been moving through this Earth for billions of years. Through oceans and rivers, rain clouds and glaciers, plants, animals, and countless generations of human life. Water is continually circulating, changing form, and participating in the great cycles of life.

During our Women of the Water gatherings, we explored this element as a connection to ancestry and the many lives that came before our own. A way of remembering that we don't exist separately from the world, but are made of the very same elements that have sustained life since its beginnings.

Inspired by this sense of continuity, the Ancestral Currents earrings bring together cool turquoise, soft ivory, and deep earth tones in a delicate weaving with flowing fringe. A little reflection on the waters we share, the lives that came before us, and our own place within the greater story of life.

Part of the Women of the Water series, inspired by a six-week gathering facilitated by Farhana Sarguro (Cura Bohio) and Mariana Mae through their Mujer Maestria School of Earth Arts.

Lovingly hand-woven with high-quality Miyuki glass beads, natural thread, and 18K gold-plated sterling silver (925) kidney-style earwires. Only the good stuff. :)

25% of proceeds from this pair are set aside to support Mujer Maestria School of Earth Arts and its work with women, ancestral wisdom, creative expression, and relationship with the natural world.
